Back in the USA

Got home yesterday, went for a quick bite in King Street Blues with Jen and then hit the sack. 12 hours later I was ready (almost) to face a day in work, some coffee fixed that. I notice that the Captain has pictures up from the lake house a couple of weeks ago, including some “strange” ones in the hot tub, oh dear….

I haven’t quite finished with pictures from the trip, but the ones from Dublin were not that great – they are smack bang in the middle of the wettest June on record. In fact it crossed the record mark with 9 days to go and when I left on Sunday there had been 12 consecutive days of rain. It was a pity, especially for some of my American co-workers that were visiting for the first time – usually the weather makes a liar out of me (I complain about Irish rain a lot) but this time I was shown to be correct.

As a bonus though my trip coincided with my Grandmother’s 75th birthday, well almost – it is actually today (Happy Birthday Gran!), but she didn’t mind the card a day early
