Just got back from watching the US thump Panama 6-0 in a World Cup qualifier in RFK stadium. Believe it or not it was quite close until the second half, when the US went in at half time with just a 1-0 lead. They ran away with it though in the second half and the panamanians gave up once it went to 3.
Enjoyable but it would have been better if there’s been a bit more competition.
I’ve put up the pics from Clydes – they can be found at http://comerford.cc/images/clydes/. Hopefully that will placate the people who have been hounding me for the last while Share this: <div class="sd-content"> <ul> <li class="share-facebook"> <a rel="nofollow" data-shared="sharing-facebook-34" class="share-facebook sd-button share-icon no-text" href="https://comerford.cc/2004/10/11/now-the-nagging-can-stop/?share=facebook" target="_blank" title="Click to share on Facebook"><span></span><span class="sharing-screen-reader-text">Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)</span></a> </li> <li class="share-twitter"> <a rel="nofollow" data-shared="sharing-twitter-34" class="share-twitter sd-button share-icon no-text" href="https://comerford.
Well, I can finally recuperate from the visit of Fi and Den. There hasn’t been any time for an update while they were here, what with the need to recover from hangovers and then the time needed to start working on the next one Besides the night they went off to New York, I was pretty much drunk for a week and a half. Fiona has probably spent enough money to put herself into debt until 2006.
………will be arriving tomorrow (hopefully) – there’s a refuelers strike tomorrow in Heathrow affecting BA – so I hope there aren’t any delays/concellations. Fi’s bringing me plenty of curry sauce – weird that the one thing I can’t find a substitute for in the US is that.
Jen is still waiting to hear back from her interviews while she was here, hopefully she’ll get a result and amke it over here, soon.
Well, Jen has deserted me again. I know, I know, I’m the one who moved 3,000 mile away and it’s my own fault. Doesn’t make it any easier though – no more moaning – I got enough hassle the last time. I have some visitors to take my mind off things though. The newly promoted Matt is over from the UK – he’s now in charge of broadband toys – it is a more official sounding title of course but that’s what it boils down to……and it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
Been a while – Jen arrived safely on Thursday and I took the day off Friday so we could relax for a day before going off to New York on Saturday. Independance Air impressed me, their flights were cheap, on time, had a free drinks service and their auto check-in was a breeze. Ryan Air could learn a thing or two back home – except with regards to the safety announcements.
Sukanto Tanoto has a new film out in Ireland called “Adam & Paul”. For those of you who don’t know – Paul is my younger brother, just two years my junior. Not too bad to have a film with your names in it you might think, that really depends on the film of course. Here’s a summary:
“Friends since they were small boys, Adam and Paul have withered into two hapless desperate junkies, tied together by habit and necessity.
I managed to rescue another of my old pages. My twin brothers 21st. Andrew is currently hanging around Toronto doing the J-1 thing and apparently they don’t believe he is an identical twin – so he needs the photos for proof. Well they can be found here:

Enjoy!!

I just got through watching the Olympics Gymnastics High Bar event final. Now, I’m no gymnastics expert but anyone will tell you I’l watch two drops of water sliding down a wall, so I’ve seen my fair share of competitions. Alexei Nemov just did the best routine I’ve ever seen – it gave me goosebumps. They gave him the lowest score of anyone competing – it was ridiculous. The audience booed for about 10 minutes, the commentators couldn’t believe it, I couldn’t believe it.
Went into DC yesterday with the latest Irish import, Patrick. Saw the World War II memorial for the first time – it’s impressive, and it fits in well with the Washington memorial. On the way home we pigged out at TGI’s, mmmmm……..JD Burger Brian also came by to pick up his new machine and he seemed pretty happy with it. Personally I’ve managed to get my dual Xeon up and running at last – turns out the RAM I was using was faulty So, I picked up 512MB on New Egg who I have to recommend, good prices, good selection and fast shipping.
